What you’ll do
GREET & MEET: Our tour guide and driver will be waiting for you in the hotel lobby to greet you. We will provide you with a short briefing on how to ride safely and what you need to do while seated behind us on the scooters. Hold on tight, and let's start an exciting adventure with us!
During this food tour, we will chat and share the local and food stories to help you understand more about life of people as well as local cuisine not only in Saigon but also the whole Vietnam.
After an exciting ride, our first stop brings you to a cozy local eatery in District 3, where you’ll enjoy a bowl of Bún Bò Huế — a bold and aromatic beef noodle soup that stands apart from the more familiar Phở found across Vietnam.
This central Vietnamese specialty features a fragrant broth simmered with lemongrass, beef bones, pineapple, and shrimp paste, giving it a rich, slightly spicy depth. It’s topped with crab sausage, tender beef brisket, spring onions, and sliced onions — a perfect balance of savory, spicy, and aromatic flavors that will wake up your taste buds from the very first sip.
Our second stop in District 10 offers Chuối Nướng — grilled plantain topped with creamy coconut milk sauce, blending sweet and savory flavors. It’s proudly recognized as one of the world’s top 10 street foods.
Explore the history and beauty of Ho Chi Minh City on our full-day tour of the Thich Quang Duc Monument. Discover the stories behind this iconic monument and take in the stunning views of Saigon from a unique perspective.
Next, we’ll head to the lively Nguyễn Thiện Thuật neighborhood, a vibrant local area that captures the true spirit of Saigon street life. Here, you’ll savor Bánh Khọt — mini crispy pancakes made from rice flour, egg, coconut milk, and turmeric, filled with shrimp, pork, bean sprouts, and mung beans. Each bite bursts with flavor, especially when wrapped in fresh greens and dipped into a rich, tangy fish sauce. Served with mustard greens, lettuce, Thai basil, purple mint, ambarella leaves, and more — it’s a perfect harmony of textures and tastes.
You’ll also get to try BBQ beef wrapped in betel leaves, a smoky and aromatic favorite served with vermicelli, rice paper, green banana, star fruit, and a sweet pineapple fish sauce that ties it all together.
We’ll take a short stroll to the largest and most vibrant flower market in Saigon, where colors and fragrances fill the air. Here, you’ll get to taste fresh Vietnamese Spring Rolls — delicate rice paper wraps filled with shrimp, pork, and crisp greens, served with a rich, creamy peanut dipping sauce.
And don’t miss out on the grilled oysters with black pepper sauce — smoky, flavorful, and the perfect balance of spice and freshness. Alternatively, we can offer baked egg in a cup, featuring creamy eggs and customizable toppings. Please note that the menu may change based on the availability of local food stalls.
We’ll wander through the most vibrant and colorful food market in Ho Chi Minh City, where the sights, sounds, and aromas burst with local energy. Here, you’ll get to taste banana or coconut crackers — one of Saigon’s most beloved snacks, made from whipped egg whites, sugar, and sesame seeds, with a hint of ginger or banana for extra flavor.
To cool down, enjoy a refreshing glass of sugarcane juice with kumquat — the city’s favorite drink, perfectly sweet, slightly tangy, and irresistibly refreshing.
Next stop is at the most famous street food area for Saigon students in district 10:
Saigon’s Signature Baguette (Bánh Mì): the best-known baguette in the world, with sausage, pâté, meat, pickled vegetables (and coriander). It's Vietnam's #1 street food.
Fillings: Pork sausage, pate (made from pig liver), butter, pickles, herbs, cucumber, chili
Next, we’ll make our way to a charming old apartment in District 10 to end on a sweet note — either Chè, a traditional Vietnamese dessert soup, or a silky caramel flan that melts in your mouth.
