Enjoy a whole day in the awesome desert where everything is allowed: climb on every rock you see, dance and jump around like no one is watching (because it's true), roll down from the big sand dunes, hunt sand storms, pet the camels, learn how to tie your scarf Bedouin-style, go offroad in the jeep, sit down in the shade and help Ahmed make his famous lunch, sing songs in caves, drink from fresh springs, watch rock drawings, have tea with Bedouins and listen to their songs.
And after one whole day of this, relax in our comfortable tents and join us for a good home cooked meal. In the evening we relax around the campfire, watch the Milky Way and tell Bedouin stories. You will sleep like rock.
The next morning after all this awesomeness you will think: 'Did we do all of this in one day?'
Luckily you still have the photo's!
What you’ll do
Meet me, your experienced guide Ahmad, at the Rest House in Wadi Rum Village. Our jeep tour starts at around 10:00 am, taking you through the breathtaking desert landscape of Wadi Rum, with plenty of opportunities to stop and capture the stunning scenery. Let's explore together and create unforgettable memories!
Come and experience Lawrence Spring, a natural water source in the heart of Wadi Rum that is a favorite hangout spot for camels. The cool water runs down the mountains and into the troughs, surrounded by small trees and vibrant green moss that create a true oasis. You can relax here just like the Bedouins and their herds did in the past, while watching herds of camels pass by, eagerly seeking fresh water.
For a more adventurous experience, climb up the mountain and witness spectacular views of the surrounding desert. While you're up there, take a closer look at the many inscriptions of Thamudic origin, providing a fascinating insight into the history and culture of the area.
Discover the hidden gem of Khazali Canyon in Wadi Rum, where you can journey back in time to witness the traces of merchants and pilgrims who once traveled through the canyon on their way to Egypt, Damascus, and Mecca.
As you explore the canyon between split mountains, you'll be fascinated by the Thamudic, Nabatean, and Islamic inscriptions, as well as the petroglyphs of humans, animals, and soles of feet. The canyon is also home to numerous Nabataean rock carvings of people and animals, including petroglyphs etched into the cave walls dating back to Thamudic times.
At the end of the canyon, you'll find several man-made rock-cut basins for water collection, adding to the impressive collection of petroglyphs and inscriptions that make Khazali Canyon one of the major tourist attractions in Wadi Rum.
Discover the iconic Al Ramal Red Sand Dune in Wadi Rum, the most famous sand dune in the area with a unique red hue caused by high concentrations of iron oxide. While it may seem like a simple climb, the soft sand makes it challenging for tourists, but entertaining for the locals to watch. Once you reach the top, enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the valley that will leave you in awe. For an unforgettable experience, run or sandboard your way back down.
Known as "Al Hasany" in Arabic, this distinctive dune stands out against the cliffside like it is part of the mountain. As one of the most famous landmarks in Wadi Rum, Al Ramal offers a fine and soft underfoot experience, perfect for walking up barefoot. So come and witness the natural beauty of this stunning sand dune, and create memories that will last a lifetime.
Little Rock Bridge : Experience the natural wonder of Little Bridge in the Khor El Ajram area, where years of severe weather have created a stunning rock formation. Despite its name, the bridge is not too high and easy to climb, making it accessible to families with children or those who prefer less challenging climbs. Take in the breathtaking views of the vast desert landscape and capture memorable photos before descending to relax in a Bedouin tent with a cup of sweet tea. Here, you can buy souvenirs or hang out with locals, making for an unforgettable cultural experience. So come and explore the easily accessible Little Bridge, perfect for all ages and comfort levels.
Traditional Bedouin Lunch : Discover a hidden place with a stunning view, where your expert guide will prepare a delicious traditional lunch cooked over an open fire. Our daily menu varies, but we always provide a warm meal with fresh vegetables, bread, hummus, yogurt, and other local treats. While we cook, you can explore the surrounding area with a hike or simply relax and soak in the magnificent views of the Wadi Rum landscape.
Discover the rich history of Lawrence's House in Wadi Rum, a place that played an important role in the area's past. Built upon the remains of a Nabataean building, the current structure is situated in a remote location, offering uninterrupted views of the stunning red sand dunes.
Although there is little left of the original building, legend has it that TE Lawrence stayed here during the Arab Revolt, making it a must-see on the regular 4WD circuits of the area. As you climb to the top, you'll be amazed by the countless piles of stones left behind by Bedouins as road markings in the past.
Um Frouth Rock Arch : a natural bridge offering breathtaking views and photo opportunities. With the help of your guide, take an impressive photo on top of the bridge using your phone or camera. Although challenging for tourists, small footholds have been created to make the ascent easier. Experience the thrill of climbing this magnificent structure and capture unforgettable photos of the stunning scenery. A must-visit for anyone exploring Wadi Rum and looking for a memorable adventure.
White Desert -Discover the unique beauty of the White Desert in Wadi Rum, where the landscape transforms into a completely different world. You'll have a chance to spot wildlife and discover new flora. The white sand provides a stunning contrast to the red sand in the distance. Experience the unique charm of the White Desert, a must-visit for any adventure-seeker in Wadi Rum.
Witness a small miracle of nature - the Mushroom Rock. Over centuries, wind and rain have carved this sandstone into the distinct shape of a mushroom. It's a fun place to take photos and seek shelter from the desert sun, used by Bedouins for centuries
Escape the desert and explore the lush Abu Khashaba Canyon, where wild fig trees and desert bushes grow among rocks and red and yellow sand. Take a refreshing 30-45 minute walk through the deep valley surrounded by tall mountain walls and discover various types of trees and plants with the sweet chirping of countless birds. The locals even hang bottles to collect rainwater for the birds, creating a peaceful oasis.
Experience one of the most breathtaking natural wonders in the world at Jabal Burdah. The Burdah Rock Bridge, Rum's largest arch, sits precariously atop the mountain about 80 meters above the surrounding rock. The hike to the summit is challenging but offers a spectacular reward with one of the most incredible sunsets you will ever experience. During the jeep tour, we'll make a stop close by so that you can admire the bridge from a distance before embarking on the hike. It's an unforgettable adventure for any Wadi Rum visitor.
Sunset ViewPoint - Witness the most breathtaking sunset in Wadi Rum at our secluded Sunset Viewpoint. We'll take you to the perfect spot where you can marvel at the wide panoramic landscape as the sun sets. While you take it all in, we'll prepare some sweet Bedouin tea on the fire.
