Bergen: UNESCO NærøyFjord Cruise, Flåm & Stegastein - Incl. Lunch
Overview
Experience the best of Western Norway on a full-day bus tour from Bergen, combining spectacular fjords, waterfalls and mountain scenery. Unlike many other tours, a light lunch and a coffee stop are included. Throughout the journey, your dedicated local guide shares fascinating stories about Norway, while a separate professional driver takes care of the road.
We pass the Osterfjord and Voss area before stopping at Tvindefossen waterfall (visited on the return journey from June to September).
One of the highlights of the day is a 2-hour cruise through the UNESCO-listed Nærøyfjord, one of the narrowest fjords in the world. Admire towering mountains, cascading waterfalls, dramatic cliffs, and picturesque villages along the way.
The cruise brings you to charming Flåm, with free time to explore before visiting Stegastein Viewpoint for breathtaking fjord panoramas.
On the return journey, enjoy a relaxing coffee break in a scenic setting, surrounded by breathtaking Norwegian landscapes
What you’ll do
The tour begins by coach. The drive from Bergen offers stunning landscapes, with views of the beautiful Osterfjord and fascinating stories from your guide along the way.
After about an hour, we make a short stop — a chance to stretch your legs and use the restroom. When opening hours allow, the break is arranged at Dalegarden Outlet and Kafe, a welcoming local shop which offers a variety of great goods from different suppliers at reduced prices.
About thirty minutes later, we pass through Voss — a charming town in the heart of Western Norway — before the scenery becomes even more dramatic as we approach majestic mountains, spectacular waterfalls, and one of Norway’s most beautiful fjords.
Tvindefossen is an impressive waterfall, dropping 116 meters in a beautiful display of multiple streams cascading down the cliff.
The waterfall is surrounded by a legend claiming that its water has rejuvenating powers. This legend has made Tvindefossen one of Norway’s most visited natural attractions, welcoming thousands of visitors each year.
(From 1 June to 30 September, we visit Tvindefossen on the return journey.)
Gudvangen is a beautiful and authentic village, nestled deep within the UNESCO-listed Nærøyfjord — a place that feels truly Norwegian. Surrounded by towering mountains and cascading waterfalls, the village offers a calm and charming atmosphere.
